Hoof Trimming Workshop - NOW COMPLETED

Hoof Trimming Workshop

Due to a great suggestion received, I have been able to organize a one day workshop on hoof trimming (barefoot trimming), run by Peter Laidley from Hoofworks Australia.
Peter travels all over the world teaching barefoot trimming so we are honoured to have him attend and impart his extensive knowledge. During this workshop, participants will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the hoof and the limb, basic trimming techniques, basic rasp and hoof knife techniques plus much, much more.
It is designed to assist the horse owner with either trimming their own horse’s hooves, or to recognize whether their farrier is trimming correctly. There will be demonstration horses at the workshop so that all participants can put into practice everything that they have learned.

Date: Saturday 18th September 2010
Start Time: 8am
Venue: Crown Lodge Equestrian, 44 Honeyeater Court, Upper Caboolture
Cost: Depending on numbers, this one day comprehensive workshop will cost between $120 and $150 per person

The closing date for this workshop is Friday 10th September. A $60 deposit is required by the closing date, with the balance payable on the day. Please e-mail me or phone 5497 0971 to register. If you would like to learn more about Peter and Hoofworks Australia, please visit his website.

Testimonials

Bec Cronin training in Susan's arena.

“The weekend dressage clinic was just what I needed to prepare for competing in dressage tests. I had been training for a few months but your advice and guidance has brought together all of my hard work and really refined many aspects of the test I was working on.

You have given me a better preparation for taking my horse out to competitions. I loved meeting other riders and their horses and seeing that they had similar issues to me.

They were so encouraging and the support we gave each other was lovely. My confidence has definitely lifted and I feel great taking my horse out now.

Thank you so much Susan and I look forward to doing a refresher course in the future.”
